.925 Sterling silver Wire:
Our sterling wire is shipped dead soft unless otherwise specified. It contains 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% copper alloyed for strength. We stock round wire from gauges 12 (thick) to 30 (very thin).

.999 Fine Silver:
Fine silver is pure silver. We could not make most of our beading projects without this excellent time saver. Fine silver when torched will ball up to make the perfect headpin without any clean up. The wire stays shiny in the flame and is ready to use. Check out the Crystal Shaker project to see it in action.

14kt Gold Filled:
There is much confusion regarding gold filled. 14kt gold fill is made by preparing a sheet of 14kt gold and electrochemically bonding it to a base metal. Gold Filled wire has a very thick layer of gold. It is considered "lifetime" meaning it will not wear off or polish off during it useful life. People with metal allergies that can wear 14kt gold can wear 14kt gold filled. It is beautiful and much less expensive
